National rule of Hunting Tests for Spaniels (since the 1st July 1997) INTRODUCTION
national tests are divided in:
a) tests with wild dejected (type A)
b) tests with bring back to cold (type B)

To the goals of the attainment of the title of Italian champion of job, not less than two CAC must be gets in tests with wild dejected.
In such tests the take back is exclusively performed on natural game during the turn of test, done except as anticipated from the following art.23.
B) TESTS WITH BRING BACK "TO COLD"
In such tests the take back will be effected to end competition, limitedly to the qualifiable dogs, on pheasant or pigeon of breeding, previously killed and launched to the dog as expectation by the following art.23 paragraphs 4.
The type of animal to be brought must be specifies in the program.

Art.1. - These tests have the purpose to underline the reproducers of elite that will be distinguished for their qualities of nose, of walk, of resistance, of ability take in and to hold back a very inclined and susceptible training to produce other great hunters and numerous hunting dogs of tall value.

Art.2. - The tests of which to the letter "a" of the introduction they are characterized by the fact that can be set only at hunting season opened on natural wild and with wild dejected for every dog during his test turn.
The tests of which to the letter "b" instead they must be set only  in Repopulation and Capture Areas or Companies Faunistico Venatorie and only from the hunting's closing to March 31st and from September 1st to the opening.
Any test with CAC can be developed with wild that is not natural. For natural wild it must be intended wild  born in liberty or freed to the later within the month of August.
In any case it can be freed wild on test occasion , not even a few days before.

ORGANIZATION
Art.3. - They cannot participate in the Tests that the pure breed dogs affiliate or that can be enrol to a Book Origins recognized by the FCI.

Art.4. - In the tests they are expected two separate categories, one for the Cockers, the other one for all the Spaniel breeds.
In the case in which the two categories could not contemporarily be effected, the committee organizer will throw the order of their carrying out.
All the spaniels can race together in the same test in the case in which there is no enough registrations of one of the varieties. In that case an alone CAC will be attributed but the winning dog will be of exceptional quality.

Art.5.- The share to the tests with CAC is opened to the mentioned dogs all.art.3.
The tests  registration above written they can be also limited even only for worth titles (qualifications previously gotten) to condition that is pointed out on the tests program .

Art.6. - It prescribes how much it follows:
a) if the test is separated in more batteries, the division of the dogs  will do according to the following dispositions: any owner, trainer or conductor  can pretend that his dogs are inserted in more batteries unless doesn't have any assistants that can introduce for him in other batteries.
b) females' presence in fancy is absolutely forbidden;
c) any registration can be approved over the date of the established closing;
d) some amount of registration won't be refunded unless the renouncement is not communicated at least three days before the date of the test;
e) the registrations will be valid only if accompanied by the amount. The entrants of foreign nationality can regulate their payments to the action of the tests provided that these are effected before the beginning and they must have done for all the enrolled dogs, present or less, save the cases to the letter d);
f) only the females on heat can be retired and they cannot be replaced, besides any substitution of dog won't be approved;
g) the conductor or the competitor that it will refuse to pay his registrations won't be admitted to the share to the tests of the same category that took place in the same day.

Art.7. - Bad dogs are not admitted, mordant or affections from contagious illnesses, the belonging dogs or conducted by subject people to the disciplinary sanction of the disqualification irrigated from the ENCI or from the FCI in course or doing part of society or club not recognized by the Corporate members of the FCI.

Art.8. - The conductors must be, punishment the exclusion, present to the appeal that will do  on the place of the assembly, and they will be always subsequently to disposition of the Judge.

Art.9. - The Committee organizer  reserves the right to annul a test refunding only the amount of the registrations for natural causes and of great strength.

Art.10. - The homologation from the ENCI of the classifications won't take place if the present dogs in competition won't be at least 2.

Art.11. - The division of the dogs will be served by the organizers, while the order of the turns will be made with extraction to chance.

MEASURES OF ORDER
Art.12. - For how much it concerns the measures of order will be applied the in force rules of the ENCI.

PRESENTATION
Art.13. - Any dog can bring, during the turn, some coercive object.

Art.14. - The conductor will owe in any circumstance to put back to the indications of the judges, must  use voice and whistle with the maximum discretion.

Art.15. - Unless a dog doesn't introduce some evident insufficiencies or some eliminatory defects, it will be examined at least for 10-15 minutes. After the first turn the judge will have the faculty to call back the dogs how many times and for the whole time that he will believe correct.

Art.16. - The tests must be judge from a (1) judge, in the cases in which it is necessary an assistant can be used, advised by the organization, provided that is really experienced. Where necessary or prescribed by other rules it can be made to  judge also from multiple juries.

Art.17. - In the tests type "a" of which to the introduction together with the jury there must  be  two official shooters. In general they must follow the judges indications and, taking first accords, the first wild can be demolished that come raised , but subsequently only that worked by the dog. For all the wild demolished the dog will be sent to bring back.

Art.18. - The dogs must race, as far as possible, on semi-sheltered ground and varied. It's the judge power to make them also race on uncovered ground for better checking its training.

Art.19. - The Jury  must considerate the attitudes of the breed. It will  have to considerate also : the intelligence; the research of correct compatible size with the type of ground and useful to the rifle; the spirited and fast gallop in style of race; the continuous avid action and determined; the connection with the conductor; the ability of receipt of the emanation both on footstep and to the wind; the taking of footstep, the promptness and the expressiveness in to resolve; the good behaviour to the flutter, as well as to the hit of rifle also on wild not "worked" from the dog; the attention at the rifle-shot; the promptness and the precision of the individualization of the point of fall of the wild one; the perseverance in the search of the wild dejected and the promptness in to bite it; the speed and sweetness of bring back both to the dry land and from the water; the resistance in to face the obstacles.

Art.20. - The defects and the errors that bring to the elimination are:
- insufficiency of research (the ideal is that useful to the rifle);
- lack of initiative and passion, physical lacks, scarce avarice and determination;
- walk not in type;
- evident lack of intelligence;
- fear of the hit of rifle and the wild one;
- ignored useful wild;
- the lack of sense of smell;
- to give the voice both persistently and without justification;
- the missed bring back both to the dry land and from the water also on wild not raised by the dog, provided that not by other dogs; the bring back with hard tooth.

Art.21. - The dogs must have conducted as they are generally to hunting, direct preferably with a sign; the frequent calls both to the voice that with the whistle, they will be considered as defect of obedience. During the research and the bring back, the conductor must remain next to the judge to follow its directives. The judge has power to grant to the conductor to bring the dog in proximity of the place of fall of the wild one if this has been dejected when the dog didn't work it, or however out of the sight of the dog. The bring back  must have effected to the foot of the conductor without hesitations or unjustified interruptions.

Art.22. - In every case, so that the dog can be classified, he must correctly bring. It will also owe to have worked and taken above a point at least a wild.
The bring back of hare is obligatory for the Springer. For the Cockers the lack of bring back of hare is not defect of elimination and the effected bring back it is considerate as note of worth.
The lack of bring back of a wild wounded that has escaped not bring to the elimination if the dog has at least tried it,  giving test to have found the footstep, to have continues for a long time, more or less.
The bring back effected in these cases, is note of worth.
To bite a wild lock is not note of demerit.

Art.23. - In the test of which to the letter "a" of the introduction the bring back "to cold" won't be admitted, only in exceptional cases . Before effecting a bring back to cold, it must be tried if possible to effect a bring back to warm in action of hunting. For the dog that has gotten a point or in the turn or in the call, for the verification of the bring back to warm it won't be considerate of the errors committed over the time of the turn or the call after the realization.
If for lack of time, of ground or of wild it is not possible to effect a bring back to warm, it will apply to the bring back to cold in hunting's action with the following formalities also to be followed for the tests of which to the letter "b" in the introduction:

-the wild is set out on the ground out of dog sight to around 20/30 meters from him. The ground will be worked as in a normal action of hunting. After a hit of rifle the dog will be sent to bring back.

The duration of the search won't have any importance and won't constitute in some case a criterion of evaluation. To condition that the dog actively looks for, it  will be granted him to continue. Every bring back to cold will be done on terrestrial different.

Art.24. - To be classified any serious error isn't admitted . To get the CAC the dog must have complete an impeccable job without any error.

Art.25. - The C.Q.N. (Certified of Natural Quality) can be given only to the dog that having given test of Excellent natural qualities and however being itself awarded at least a point, it has not been able to be classified for errors of dressage.

Art.26. - "Derby". Test reserved to subjects been born in Italy after the 1st July of two years before. The batteries of this test cannot be composed from more than 11 subjects.
If there are more batteries, the winners of every parity battery of qualification, must compare themselves in a single turn to determine the winner of the Derby.

Art.27. - The Judges won't found their classifications in relationship to the number of the taken points, on the contrary on their quality keeping in mind of the style of breed and the other inherent natural qualities the breed.

Art.28. - At the end of the test the Judges must proclaim the classification on the field and to comment the result of the test.

Art.29. - To access the Italian Championship of Job a dog must have get:

1. 3 CACs (of which not less than two gotten in tests with wild dejected)
2. to possess a brevet of bring back from the water (as from art.30)
3. to have gotten the qualification in exposition (currently a MB in Assembly or Special) (N.B. for the females n°2 CAC in tests on wild dejected and Excellent n°2 in tests type "A" or "B")

BREVET OF BRING BACK FROM WATER

Art.30. - The brevet of bring back from the water will be judged by two judges trained to judge tests CACIT for Spaniel.
Conditions of the execution of bring back from the water:
- the bring back will be made with duck killed to the moment
- the judges will watch over for all the dogs to be set under the same conditions and that the more possible draws near to the following criterions:
- the bring back will be made in deep water that the dog forces to swim more for a distance meters;
- the entrance in water will do on a descent too much steep that the dog doesn't force to jump or to plunge;
- the duck will be launched for all the dogs by the same person and it must fall over seven meters from the edge (in case of bring back in the river, the duck will be launched  sufficiently by to be able to pass to range in front of the dog);
A hit of rifle will be thrown to the moment of the throwing, the dog can go to water as soon as the duck will be launched;
- for once that it won't absolutely have to overcome the minute, it will be tolerated that the conductor encourages his dog to enter water but he can use only the voice and it must remain in the limits of the reasonable one.

DISPOSITIONS TRANSITORY

Art.31. - Up to 31/12/97 the organizers of International Tests are kept to the carrying out of the test of bring back from the water as described to the preceding art.30 that it will be worth to all the effects like patent of bring back. It stays understood that the holders of the brevet are not kept to the reiteration of the test of bring back from the water.
